  • A hackathon is a fun and creative event where people come together to solve real-world problems in a short amount of time — usually in teams, with the help of mentors.

In this hackathon, you’ll work in a team of girls like you to develop an idea that helps make our planet more sustainable — using creativity, collaboration, and digital tools (no coding required!).

    • Get Inspired: We’ll start with a visit to the Supercomputing Center in Barcelona to see how technology is already fighting climate change.

    • Form Your Team: You’ll meet other girls and create small teams to work together during the weekend.

    • Create Your Solution: Your team will explore a challenge related to the circular economy and sustainability. You’ll come up with a creative, tech-based solution — it could be an app idea, a data-based strategy, a campaign, or anything impactful!

    • Get Support: Mentors will guide you throughout the process. You’ll also have access to tools and workshops to help you build and shape your idea.

    • Pitch Your Idea: At the end of the hackathon, your team will present your solution to a jury of experts. You’ll have a few minutes to pitch your idea, just like real entrepreneurs do!

    • Celebrate & Reflect: If your team wins, you’ll present your project again at the Supercomputing Center to real researchers — and connect with professionals in science and tech!
